Requirements for
access to the KA4BNI Echolink / IRLP System
Please abide by the following when using the 145.470 repeater
to access the Echolink and IRLP systems.
- The KA4BNI Echo/IRLP nodes
are open to all Amateur Radio Operators possessing a Technician Class
license or above.
- Before accessing the nodes,
please listen to make sure there is no traffic on the repeater.
- Please identify your station
at the beginning of your connection, every 10 minutes, and at the end of the
QSO after disconnecting (as per FCC rules).
- When your QSO is completed,
please disconnect the link. (Please do not leave the link up if there is
no traffic). After disconnecting, please listen for a brief period
before starting another link. This will give others a chance to use the
system.
- As with all Amateur Radio
communications, profanity is prohibited.
- During a severe weather
event in West Tennessee the Gleason nodes will be deactivated, until the weather
passes out of the area. A squelch tail message will notify of the node
access being disconnected. The 145.470 has a severe weather receiver which
is utilized during weather outbreaks. Also, the repeater is utilized for
storm spotting. Once the Severe weather has left West Tennessee, the nodes
will be re-enabled. The WX-1000 weather receiver.
